How You Can Help Raise the Voices of Cancer Patients

Many of us are concerned about the state of the world right now. And many of us are also wondering: “How can I help?”

Here’s one thing you can do: spend an hour with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 2 PM EDT when we’ll host our first-ever Virtual Advocacy Town Hall. You’ll learn how you can advocate on behalf of blood cancer patients during this challenging time.

LLS works to ensure policymakers at every level of government are addressing the needs of blood cancer patients. We promote policies that lead to the development of cures and help patients access affordable, high-quality treatment. Volunteer advocates – such as patients, caregivers, family members and others impacted by blood cancer – are critical to this work. They help LLS make sure lawmakers in Washington, D.C. and state capitals hear patients loud and clear. As the world continues to battle COVID-19, this work is needed now more than ever before.

At our Virtual Advocacy Town Hall on Wednesday, May 6, you’ll hear from LLS staff and volunteer advocacy leaders how LLS is helping to influence the government response to COVID-19. Most importantly, you’ll learn how your voice can contribute to LLS’s effort.

We look forward to hosting you and working together on behalf of blood cancer patients.
